Debt collection startup secures six-figure funding

A Burton-based debt collection firm is set to create five new jobs after receiving £100,000 funding.

Maxima Creditor Resolutions, based in Blakenhall Park Bar Lane, Barton Under Needwood, has secured funding from the Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF) and the Staffordshire & Stoke on Trent Business Loan Fund managed by BCRS Business Loans.

The money will allow the start-up to strengthen and expand its services, create additional jobs and support three of its current employees.

Maxima was created in October 2021.

Mark Andrews, co-founder of Maxima Creditor Resolutions, said: “After securing funding from BCRS, we will be able to use the fund to hire five additional people and secure the future of three existing staff.

“The investment fund will allow us to recruit legal professionals as well as administrative roles to support the infrastructure.

“The loan application process with BCRS was painless. Andrew from BCRS took the time to understand the business and what we were trying to achieve. It looked more like a partnership than just an application form. »

Andrew Hustwit, Business Development Manager at BCRS Business Loans, added: “As a lender that provides finance for intentional social and economic impact, it is great news that five new jobs are being created by Maxima Creditor Resolutions.
